Resolved Question: Is all tea a sin, including herbal, or is it just the one tea plant that they make all kinds of tea out of.?
I looked up what tea was and this is what I got.......Tea is the agricultural product of the leaves, leaf buds, and internodes of the Camellia sinensis plant, prepared and cured by various methods. "Tea" also refers to the aromatic beverage prepared from the cured leaves by combination with hot or boiling water,[2] and is the common name for the Camellia sinensis plant itself. Although tea contains various types of polyphenols, "contrary to widespread belief, tea does not contain tannic acid." [3]
After water, tea is the most widely-consumed beverage in the world.[4] It has a cooling, slightly bitter, astringent flavour which many enjoy.[5]
There are at least six varieties of tea; white, yellow, green, oolong, black and pu-erh[6] of which the most commonly found on the market are white, green, oolong and black.[7] All tea are made from the same bushes but processed differently, and, in the case of fine white tea, grown differently. Pu-erh tea, a post-fermented tea, is also often used medicinally.[8]
The term "herbal tea" usually refers to an infusion or tisane of leaves, flowers, fruit, herbs or other plant material that contains no Camellia sinensis.[9] The term "red tea" refers to an infusion made from either black tea (mainly in Chinese, Korean, Japanese and other East Asian languages) or the South African rooibos plant (containing no Camellia sinensis).
So what do you think?
I read that it is a sin to consum "hot drinks" and back in the day when the bible was written, that meant coffee and tea. That is where I get the question. Did they only know of the plant that I am talking about, or was it all kinds of "teas" Including the ones that are not from the "tea" plant.
I was told from other sites that it was a sin and that it was in the bible. I didn't know for sure, but a lot of people keep saying it, so I think that it has to come from somewhere.

Resolved Question: I'm eating well, exercising regularly yet somehow getting fatter?
I eat relatively healthy, and exercise about 3-5 days a week, depending on the week, yet somehow my jeans aren't fitting me anymore.
On a typical day I would consume the following:
Breakfast - fruit smoothie, or freshly squeezed juice, coffee/ oolong tea
Morning snack - small bag of peeled/chopped apples + green tea with honey and skim milk
Lunch - whole wheat tortilla with vegetables and humus
Afternoon snacks - small bag of chopped carrots/peppers + small bag of pineapple
Dinner - baked fish with vegetables
I generally don't eat after 7-8pm
My exercise routine consists of 15-20min on the treadmill, half an hour of weights - low to midsized, with high reps, and 10min of stretching and abs.
I never weigh myself, since it tends to become an obsessive and mentally destructive habit, but my jeans, and belts speak for themselves. I'm in my mid-twenties and generally not overweight, but more so slightly soft around the edges. How is it that despite my diet and exercise, I'm gaining weight?

Resolved Question: Organic Oolong tea remedies?
Can you help me to determine if this Oolong tea remedy is right for me, also known as Wu Long tea. I have four very active girls that I cant keep up with. I need someone who is very familiar with this product to help me comprehend if this is my target.. I am overweight & pulling my hair out with four children. I want to be active, & have more energy to do so.. Is this gonna do the trick or do you know of another natural way that can help with what im searching for.. I don't have extra time to do correct exercises in a days worth of time, but I need to have more hyper activity. If you have any suggestions that will work let me know..
Resolved Question: How long does loose tea least?
I found a tin of Oolong tea in the cupboard and made a pot.
It was VERY good. I must have had the tin for a number of years.
How long does tea stay brewable if kept dry, cool, and sealed in a box?
I have heard that some Pu-erh teas are more than 80 years old, just for an extreme example.
Thanks!

Resolved Question: I have two questions about tea.?
Recently Teavana has moved into a location near me and before that, I was never really a big tea drinker. I had a few cups of green tea a month from tea bags but that was it. But after sampling Teavana's tea I was hooked. I bought some mate and oolong (wu-long) tea for weight loss benefits and loved it. But my now problem is that I'm hardly ever home except in the morning and at night so I don't have a lot of time to spend heating water, steeping tea, and then finally relaxing to drink it. Which leads me to my questions:
1. Is it safe (and effective) to just eat the raw or steeped tea leaves and get the same benefits that oolong and mate teas boast about?
2. What is better for weight loss / hunger suppressant between mate, oolong, and green tea?
